We come down the A38 through Fernhill Heath and into Barbourne, where the bus lane needs a proper shoulder check before you cross it — a common fault, and an easy one to stop making once you have done it a few times. From there it is the Blackpole junctions and the stop line at the end of Blackpole Road, where rolling the line is a straight fail rather than a minor. By the time you reach the busier roundabouts on the ring road, none of it is new.
